General Note on Public Appearances in 20112011 is a year of change for Scottie and his human family. (Don't worry: It's all good; Scottie and his family are in great health.) The changes have required us to cut down on his schedule somewhat, and we have elected to cut down primarily on his public appearances. Some requests for private appearances have also had to be declined for the same reasons, and if your was or is one of them, we apologize. Primarily, the months from May though August are most affected. We realize that this is Scottie's prime season for appearances, but the timing was unavoidable. Starting in September, we should be back in full appearance mode. We appreciate your understanding. Our apologies to our "Special Friends"Since 2004 Scottie has performed for the Special Friends ministry of Willow Creek church and has become a fixture at the annual Special Friends Fishing Derby since 2006. Every year, our Special Friends have looked forward to a visit from Scottie, and in 2011 Willow Creek and the ministry was once again looking forward to Scottie visiting with his Special Friends. This year, we are saddened to miss this event. Scottie's human family has a special celebration that is on this same day, and the coincidence was unavoidable. We plan to see all of you in 2012. In the meantime, if you are a family affected by disabilities, please know about this wonderful event, even though Scottie will not be in attendance this year. July 4 Parade ApologiesDue to conflicts in scheduling with Scottie's human family, Scottie will not be appearing in any Independence Day parades this year.

Click Here For the Official Chicago White Sox Web Site Saturday, October 15, 2011 1:30 - 3:30 PM After a few years absence, Scottie is excited to have been brought back to Mount Prospect by the Downtown Merchant's Association for their Fall Festival. Scottie will be appearing for your entertainment and to touch and hold. Be sure to bring your camera so you can capture your or your children's picture with him. Look for him as he wanders the festival between 1:30 and 3:30 pm. The festival will be running rain or shine in downtown Mount Prospect, IL in the downtown merchant district on the 100 block of South Wille. The event is being sponsored by the MPDMA - Mount Prospect Downtown Merchant's Association. Stores will be open and merchants will appreciate your patronage.
