Pirates of the I Don't "Care" ibbean
Children's Spring Musical 2009
Christ Church of Oakbrook

8:30 AM and 10::00 AM Performances
(Replacing the normal 8:30 and 10:00 Worship Services)

Scottie the Parrot will featured in both performances
providing special ambiance to the Caribbean setting.

In between the performances, Scottie will be greeting children
and adults at the new children's center which has its grand opening this day.

The story is set in Pirate Park, home of the Plattsburg Pirates, and families are in the bleachers to support their woefully bad team.  A young fan named Andy gets hit in the head with a baseball and travels to a fantastical island in the Caribbean called Johnny Bay.  As the story unfolds, you learn that the pirates don't remember anything about their past or how they came to Johnny Bay.  All they know is the they are required to guard the captain's treasure from anyone who may want to steal it away.  The Kids of the Kingdom and Acorn choirs will present the timeless message that our real treasure is in heaven, not on earth.
